So it's Homecoming... What's your opinion?

It's Homecoming Week and it's a big deal to some people here on campus. For some it's more important to those who have graduated many, MANY years ago.

So what is your take on Homecoming at the university? Good? Bad? Indifferent? What do you think?

What's your opinion of Homecoming for your high school now that you are no longer there?

I dont think freshman know enough about it. There has been no one who has talked to me about anything about homecoming. In high school homecoming week is such a big deal and here its just another day really.

I'm kind of indifferent about homecoming here. I imagine it will mean more when I graduate. As for my high school homecoming, I meant to make it home to see the game, but I didn't. Even though one of my friends was queen last year and had to pass on the crown at the game this year, I just wasn't that broken up about not being there.

I hope that the ELC meeting on Wednesday night will help us understand homecoming at Kent, since this is our first here. As of right now I see it mainly as a football game. In high school homecoming is a pretty important thing to students. Looking back on homecoming in high school, I don't think it is as important anymore.

I completely agree with everyone so far. Homecomming at kent hasn't been talked about much to the freshman so we don't really understand what the big deal is about it.

I think homecoming at Kent should be a fun thing even though I don;t know much about it.

In highschool everyone was so into the whole idea of homecoming but i never went so I really didn't know what to expect.
We will see how it goes.

Here homecoming just seems like aother football game. I haven't really seen anything special that was happening. I did miss looking at the stater on monday so maybe I did miss out. At high schools they had like a whole spirit weeke leading up to homecoming. High school got you pumped about the dance and everything.
I never went to the dances but I did participate in the spirit week. I didn't go home last weekend for my high schools homecoming but it wasn't great because once again our football team lost against brunswick. The game was on tv so I still got to see it.

Homecoming at KSU is big for some and not so important for others. After four years at KSU, I consider it my home, so participating in the festivities is important to me! I encourage all of you to at the very least attend the football game! Beforehand they always have a ton of games, face painting, and tailgating going on all around the stadium. It's a blast!! I can still remember riding these toilet seat go-carts in a race against my friend freshmen year!

Go make some memories! I promise you won't regret it!!!

I'm looking forward to my first homecoming at kent, and after that i think i'll get a better idea of how i like it.

It was weird to go back and see all the high schoolers experiencing homecoming and to think I was them last year. It seems like yesterday.
